I am Sorry: Am helpless
I am Sorry, I am helpless. I can protest, shout slogans, post on facebook, change my dp, but is it really worthy. I don't find yet. Still 2 criminals are missing. Politicians are busy
scoring a point. Some people who specialize in “violence
against women” have
come up with another solution that involves sensitizing men to
respect women. There will be a candle
march somewhere and
some people will shout
slogans and then
everyone will forget and wake up when the next rape happens. I'm wondering what is going through a rapist mind. I want this woman
and I can get away with it or max will go to jail for a few months
provided I get caught. According to a tweet by Arvind Kejriwal,
in 2012 there were 500 plus rape cases and none of the rapist got
prosecuted. So we can run all the campaigns and do the candle light
marches, unless there is fear of God in every potential
rapist we cannot solve this problem.
I don't know
how but we need to change the decision tree in a potential rapist
mind to something like this. “I want this woman even
if she doesn't want me. I will have her forcibly. But I
will get caught. And I will be in Jail for the rest of my life. And
if the public on the road catches me then I will get thrashed. Stop.
Abort. Because there will be no workshop to go and attend to
respect women.
These
things come only from family, family values and education. One
of my friend said on facebook, there should be old education system
to overcome this type of situation, But I guess Draupadi was also
from an era, in which we assume that there was good education. So all
things came to a single solution, your own values and what you
share with your children, I know , no one teach their children To
rape, but we can teach them not to rape.
Few
weeks back I found saying to myself “It’s better that I don’t
have family in delhi, considering the way rape cases are
happening in Delhi”. Today, I believe and question “why should I
can not bring my family delhi because of some sick minded
people who are out on the Delhi street, roaming around like wild
hounds, waiting to catch a piece of meat and tear it apart till they
reach satiety?”
What’s
wrong with Indian men? I wonder if this question is rightly put. A
country which for centuries has been venerated for its values, is
that what we come down to? How hypocrite can a nation be which prides
itself in the so called ‘Indian’ values on one hand and sees a
massive rise in tortuous cases against women in its own
capital city? I know I am Man, but these Man, make us to feel
guilty. It’s always a few bad apples in the basket which spoil
the lot that is good. I am sorry whatever happened. But
this is not the solution. It’s time we
Indians adjourned the Government of India to make the
country a safer place for women and create measures to make the
penalty for rape cases nothing less than a death punishment. The
culprits need to be hanged for that is what they deserve!
But don't you think, in this democratic country we are feeling sorry, because we can't protect our sister, girlfriend, wife, friends and our country people. We have to find some solution, a perfect solution and soon. I feel again sorry from whole men community, May god : " help my country.."
A single line : Delhi is not a place worth living ... Although we have to live....!!
